Russia and Ukraine: The Historical Background

In this public lecture Professor Hosking (OBE) will provide a much-needed broad historical background to the unfolding crisis in Ukraine.

Professor Hosking is Emeritus Professor of Russian History at UCL-SSEES. In this talk, organised by SSEES in corporation with Platform Ukraine, Prof. Hosking will provide a broad historical background to the unfolding crisis in Ukraine. His talk will focus mainly on Soviet policy towards Ukraine in the twentieth century.
