Pest Control

Regular monitoring of vermin, pests and other insect infestations is undertaken by our registered Pest Control contractor in accordance with best practice guidance from the British Pest Control Association. Appropriate control measures are taken to ensure that the University Estate is free from pests and vermin wherever possible. If you do experience a pest problem, please report this to the Customer Service Centre by emailing efdservices@ucl.ac.uk, telephoning extension 30000 (020 7679 0000 externally) or using the Maintenance Service Request Form.

In addition to our specialist pest control activities, there are a number of good housekeeping measures that can be taken by everyone to avoid creating an environment that would be attractive to pests and vermin:

• Dispose of food stuffs into bins with black bin liners for non-recyclable wastes

• Do not keep biscuits, fruit and other food in desks overnight

• Avoid dumping rubbish in non-designated areas

• Do not put out food for pests of any kind
