Rock Preparation Laboratory
- Location: 23 Gower Place
- Telephone Extension: 32411
- Laboratory Manager: Jim Davy
- Head of Laboratories: John Bowles

The Earth Sciences experimental laboratories have set up a coring and grinding facility within the departments' rock Preparation Laboratory. This is an in-house facility offering a range of sample impregnation, cutting, grinding and polishing services for the preparation of geological samples. giving us the capability of producing rock samples ranging from simple cylindrical geometries to complex fracture mechanics geometries as well as thin sections.
If you require any Rock Preparation work, please contact The Laboratory Manager (Jim Davy) to discus the work and fill out a job requisition form
from the department's Technical Scheduling Forum's (TSF) intranet link and then email it to the Head of Laboratories (John Bowles).
