| Research Description: Vasant is involved in all aspects/phases of the Health Survey for England (HSE) and now has main responsibilities in data analysis, report writing and secondary analysis of survey data. Her recent work has involved co-authoring on the adult obesity chapter and children’s physical activity chapter for the HSE 2006 report as well as working on analysis of validation studies of physical activity measurement for HSE. She is currently working on secondary analysis of the Health Survey for England data. Main research interests are vitamin D status among the population of UK, obesity and chronic disease, eating habits, public health nutrition. She is chapter author on the Health Surveys and lead author in journal papers in these areas. She will be co-editing the HSE 2008 report. |
