Darwins in Bloomsbury: A Reading & Debate

Ruth Padel,  Poet in Residence at the UCL  Environment Institute, read from her internationally acclaimed verse biography of her great great grand-father Charles Darwin, highlighting the years he spent in Upper Gower Street at the start of his marriage, commemorated in the UCL Darwin Lecture Theatre. The discussion centered on Darwin's life and marriage in the literary and social context of 1840s Bloomsbury.
