UCL Msc Technology Entrepreneurship Student reaches IDEALondon Shortlist
20 August 2013
During Wired Money, on 1 July, 2013, networking partner Cisco took informal pitches from startups hoping to secure office space in IDEALondon, its Shoreditch innovation centre.
The network specialist has announced four finalists who will go head-to-head in a pitch battle to win a prize that includes office space, contacts, business acceleration and mentoring.
IDEALondon was created by Cisco, DC Thomson and UCL. The alliance has established the innovation centre for new digital and media start-ups that are looking to grow rapidly with the help of the partners. This IDEALondon shortlist consists of Bet Café, Evergreen, Smartzer and The Social Gaming Co.
One of those shortlisted is, Smartzer (set up by Karoline Gross, UCL MSc Technology Entrepreneurship student) which offers creative video content input for mobile apps. Optimising apps through newer content offers developers, gamers and designers the opportunity to reinvent how they communicate. Tagging technology is what sets Smartzer apart from competitors and runs through an iOS application.
