SMILE is proud to announce that John Sprange has won a Care Innovator award for his work in developing MindDice. John came on board with SMILE in July 2011 and has since worked hard to bring his product to market.

The mentor SMILE matched him with, assisted him in realising his potential. The result is this groundbreaking memory aid which helps people with dementia engage with family, friends and carers. The citation with the awards said:

John through his personal experience with his father, has developed an exciting innovative tool, which he delivers with true enthusiasm. Mind Dice is an excellent communications stimulant helping to keep memories alive.

John won his award at the Great London Care Awards held in London on 22 October.  The GLCA is one of 9 regional care awards across the country. The winners from each of these events are entered in the national Great British Care Awards to be held in May 2012.
