Celebrating 50 years since Gagarin's First Manned Spaceflight

UCL Corporate Partnerships is working with a committee of Russian and UK advocates, to promote the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s first human flight in space.

From UCL, Prof. Alan Smith (Mullard Space Laboratory),   Dr Robin Aizlewood and Prof. Julian Graffy (School of Slavonic and East European Studies) are meeting with representatives of the British National Space Centre (BNSC), the British-Russian Chamber of Commerce, Science Museum London, Royal Astronomical Society, Royal Observatory Greenwich, Aeronautical Society, Institute of Physics, Royal Society, British Interplanetary Society, Royal Academy of Engineering, IET, British Film Institute, Space Education Trust and Science Connections Moscow.
