UCL, Intel & Imperial College London to create Global Centre for Research in Sustainable Connected Cities
Supporting Prime Minister David Cameron's digital London 'Tech City' enterprise, UCL has been working for two years with major corporate partners, INTEL and CISCO, and with academic partner Imperial College London, to deliver a long-term vision of Sustainable Future Cities. The INTEL Partnership, signed at No 10 in January 2012, established the Intel Collaborative Research Institute for Sustainable Connected Cities, which aims to make London a world-leading research testbed. The CISCO innovation partnership with No 10 update announcement in 2013, focuses on the emerging Tech City techology cluster and innovation space of London's Shoreditch.
