Dr Anna Clark
As Director of Corporate Partnerships at UCL, Dr Anna Clark leads a small team of Corporate Partnership Managers, who work across the Faculties of Built Environment, Engineering Sciences, Mathematical & Physical Sciences, Social & Historical Sciences, Laws and Arts & Humanities.
She identifies strategic partnerships and opportunities, negotiates multi-disciplinary collaborations, and is responsible for developing and maintaining UCL's long-term relationships with industry.
She led negotiations for the dual-hemisphere US$10 million partnership with BHP Billiton, signed in 2011, and was the business lead on the Elsevier partnership in 2013, and the Tech City partnerships between Cisco, UCL and Imperial College, and between Intel, UCL and Imperial College, directly supported by the PM David Cameron and announced respectively in November 2011 and in January 2012. Dr Clark facilitated international UCL initiatives in Space Science and Space Medicine (agreements with NASA, Roscosmos, NSBRI, IBMP), and was a founding member of the London Gagarin 50 Advocacy Group.
She has worked at UCL since 2004, identifying and promoting innovative arts-science collaborations in communication and imaging, including linguistic computing for the Internationalisation of the Internet (ICANN), and 3D colour laser scanning for the heritage sector. In 2009, she co-authored and delivered a paper ‘Leaders by Design’ at Stanford University, at the International Conference of Engineering & Design (ICED).
