Research
UCL English research appears in many forms, from newspaper reviews to
scholarly monographs. There is expertise in just about every facet of this
famously diverse and open-boundaried discipline, but our research is also
focussed on four principal themes which form the strategic core of our
collective thinking and the workshop events and talks that take place within the
Department. These four themes are:

- Editions
- Life Stories
- Survey of English Usage
The English Department is also involved in the UCL Centre for Early Modern Exchanges, which explores all kinds of intercultural exchange in the period 1450-1800.
