How You Can Help
Ensure you have read your departmental emergency planning information and understand what you have to do in an emergency.
In case of emergency, UCL relies on your personal contact details being up to date in the MyView system to keep you or your next of kin informed of latest developments. Please take the opportunity to log in to MyView and update your personal contact details, mobile telephone number (which will be used by UCL's emergency SMS text system in the event of an emergency) and emergency contact details, as necessary.
MyView can be accessed at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/myview and you can log on using your UCL username and password.
To enter or update your details in MyView, click on Personal Details and then click on Contact Details. Click on Edit These Details (on the right hand side of the screen), update your details and then click Submit at the bottom of the page. If you are entering or editing your mobile number it must be 11 digits long and begin with 07.
You should also take a few minutes to check that MyView is holding the right Emergency Contact details on the Relationships page. This information is vital to UCL should a serious situation arise at work involving you which requires us to get hold of your emergency contact.

If you do not have access to MyView and wish to update your mobile phone number record or emergency contact details you can print off the form at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/hr/payroll/SMS_emergency_mobile_phone_number.doc. Once completed, return the form by email to email@example.com or to Human Resources Reception, 9th Floor, 1-19 Torrington Place. Your details will be updated for you.
While we hope that we will not have to access your emergency contact details, in the unlikely event of an emergency, being able to contact you or your next of kin quickly and directly will enable us to assist you better.
