EMBalance
Deteriorating balance often leads to falls and injuries, especially in
the elderly. The multifactorial nature of balance hampers early and effective
diagnosis. In the EU-funded EMBalance project, engineers and physicians from 6
different European countries work together, to address this challenging
problem. EMBalance aims to develop a decision support system for primary and
secondary care physicians, for the diagnostic evaluation, behaviour prediction
and effective management planning of balance problems.
