Bramble Energy is a new spin-out company specialising in the
development of advanced fuel cell stack technology (

specifically uses printed circuit board (PCB) technology to form the structural
parts of the fuel cell. This leads to substantial cost reduction and leverages
the huge existing global infrastructure for manufacturing PCBs. The unique patented design also allows
innovations never before possible with conventional fuel cells, to improve
performance and durability. The new company is based on research performed in
the Department of Chemistry under Prof. Kucernak and the Electrochemical
Innovation Lab in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCL where Dr. Tom
Mason and Prof. Dan Brett lead the engineering activities.
