Dan Brett and Paul Shearing awarded research fund worth £750k for electric vehicle technologies

5 November 2014

Dan Brett and Paul Shearing, along with Jawward Darr (UCL Chemistry) and colleagues at Loughborough, Warwick, Southampton and Oxford Universities won research fund from EPSRC for the ELEVATE (electrochemical vehicle advanced technology) project.

The total value of the project to UCL is £750k.

ELEVATE aims to develop materials for energy storage devices such as fuel cells and batteries, and improve integration between devices, vehicles and power grids. The team at UCL will be working on developing new methods of studying fuel cells and batteries, as well as discovering new materials to be used in devices for automotive applications.
