Sarah completed a first class Honours degree in Education and Geography at Homerton College, Cambridge. She worked in as a primary school class teacher and SENco and as a secondary school teacher and Head of Learning Support Faculty.
In addition to Sarah's role at UCL, she works for Barnet Educational Psychology Team, where, since she joined the Team she has held a number of senior management roles including acting joint principal educational psychologist.
Sarah has many professional interests depending on the needs of the service and the children she is working with. Her involvement includes: Head Teacher Coaching, school improvement work and school reviews, whole school work developing inclusion and school curriculum in specialist and mainstream settings, and using child based approaches to address anxiety and strong emotion.
Sarah is a trustee for Down Syndrome Education International and was a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Education Best Practice for Down Syndrome.
