Sarah studied for her first degree in Social Psychology at Sussex University. She completed a PGCE there in 1990. This was followed by a six year period as a classroom teacher in Primary schools in Brighton, Southwark and Merton. In 1997 she completed an MSc in Educational Psychology at the Tavistock Centre and took up a post as an EP at Merton Educational Psychology Service. Sarah completed her Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the Tavistock/the University of Essex in 2009.
Sarah now holds a post as a Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist in the London Borough of Merton and has specialist responsibility for Looked After Children and Sensory Impairments. Sarah has a strong interest in supervision and her doctoral research thesis centred on the development of peer supervision in Educational Psychology practice. She also has a strong interest in working with children in the Early Years and in community-based psychology. |
