Cathryn

Cathryn is originally from Ireland, where she trained as a secondary school teacher and worked establishing an Enhanced Learning Provision for pupils with ASC in a mainstream secondary school. She completed her doctoral training in Educational Psychology at the University of Bristol in 2011. Her experiences as an EP have been gained through her work with diverse Local Authorities, including, Bristol, Barnsley, Doncaster and Croydon, where she currently works.

Cathryn completed her doctoral research around exploring fathers’ views of their involvement in their children’s education. In her professional work she is developing a strong interest in attachment and in supporting children with complex behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. Her current schoolwork includes working with the Primary Pupil Referral Unit in Croydon and supporting the specialist setting for children with ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
