Antonia qualified as a secondary science teacher and taught for two years before completing her professional training in Educational Psychology at the Institute of Education in 2006. Antonia has worked in Medway and Barking and Dagenham in a range of mainstream and specialist settings. She is currently a senior EP in Buckinghamshire where her role focuses on the implementation of the SEND reforms.
Antonia has a keen interest in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and how EPs can incorporate therapeutic interventions into their service delivery to support the emotional well being of children and young people. Antonia completed her doctorate in 2016. For her thesis research she delivered a modified group CBT programme to prevent depression in adolescents and, using a qualitative methodology, evaluated the impact and implementation of the intervention.
