Linda Davies

Having completed an initial degree in Chinese at the University of Westminster in 1992, Linda did her PGCE at North London University and taught for 9 years in the primary phase, also working in EAL and Special Needs. During that time Linda completed a diploma followed by a two year MA in Psychology of Education at the Institute of Education to gain entry into the UCL Educational Psychology MSc programme which she completed in 2003. From that time Linda, has worked as an Educational Psychologist in Enfield. Her experience includes working as a link EP for excluded pupils in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) and outreach service to schools to support children with challenging behaviour. Linda is the link EP for special schools for the deaf and in the past has been joint chair of PsyHIC, a national interest group for EPs working with the deaf and hearing impaired. Linda was also a member of a Systemic Family Therapy Team in CAMHS for over five years. She completed the certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the Anna Freud Centre. She has been involved in promoting the use of CBT and Mindfulness to encourage self-esteem and emotional resilience in school children and in training about self-harming.
