Educational Psychology Group

Mission Statement

The Educational Psychology Group exists to produce Educational Psychology practitioners who have the knowledge and skills to deliver accountable, research-based services and who understand how to use psychology as a force for positive change.

We do so through:

    Helping to shape the future development of Educational Psychology research and practice
    (CPD courses and resources)

    Promoting the work of the Educational Psychology Group in the college, nationally and internationally

09-12 graduates Congratulations to our fourth cohort of Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology trainees (2009-2012) who completed the programme this summer and will soon obtain their Doctoral awards - we wish them all the very best for their future in EP practice. DEdPsy Symposium Click here to view slides presented by DEdPsy programme tutors, graduates and course members at the DEdPsy symposium entitled "Perspectives on professional engagement with vulnerable children" held at the DECP conference in January 2012. Presenters used examples of recent and current work undertaken during the UCL professional doctorate programme to illustrate ways in which traditional expectations of evaluation activity may be met but also exceeded by focused initiatives at local level.

The working group was led by DECPsy programme co-director Dr Sandra Dunsmuir & Dr Jane Leadbetter, the University of Birmingham.

(4 year part-time programme for EP practitioners)

Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma / MSc in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Children and Young People (CBT)

(part-time flexible programme for childrens' services professionals)
