Registration information for Students outside Economics

Cuurent students outside the department who are non-economists can take the following options:

ECON6002: An Introduction to Applied Economics Analysis (Term 1)

ECON1006: History of Economic Thought (Term 2)

ECON1602: Basic Economic Concepts (Term 2)

To register for a course log on to PORTICO and select the optional module you wish to take. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis by date in PORTICO.

As spaces on some modules are quite limited, registration is not guaranteed. If successful you will receive notification via PORTICO so you should check your account regularly.

These modules have no pre-requisites but students should note that for ECON1602 some mathematics is involved so a pass at A level (or equivalent) is advantageous.

For any Economics module you select you will be allocated a compulsory tutorial class which you will be able to view via your online personal timetable.

If you need any academic assistance or are unsure whether you meet the requirements then you need to see Dr Rosen in Room 208 (Drayton House).  At the beginning of session, Dr Rosen will be available additionally:

· Thurs September 27, 10-11am

· Tues Oct 2, 3-4pm

· Thurs Oct 4, 3-4pm
