The MSc Economic Policy programme was a clear choice for me. I wanted to pursue a rigorous economics Masters programme, which allows students to gain a strong theoretical foundation as well as specialise in the application of economics to public policy issues. As a result, I found the course offered the best mix between a quantitative approach and ‘real-world’ analysis.
The course and UCL also appealed to me as I wanted to study with interesting people from different parts of the world and with diverse experiences.
By exploring current theories and issues in economic policy, the course has equipped me with the analytical tools which are necessary to follow and contribute to current policy debates. And, these skills are crucial in my role as an economist. As part of my responsibilities, I need to keep up to date with current international economic developments as well as carry out more detailed research.
