Fees & Funding

UCL Fee Schedule

Most UCL MSc Economics students fund their studies from
family sponsorship, employer sponsorship, home country scholarships, and career development loans.
In addition, some UCL and departmentally managed funds are available to encourage exceptionally strong applicants. These latter two categories of funding are summarised below.

UCL Funding

See the Graduate Scholarships section of the UCL Prospective Students website for information on UCL sources of funding for the MSc year. All MSc offer-holders should periodically review this list of UCL Graduate Scholarships and apply for all UCL funding for which they are eligible by following the directions on the UCL Graduate Scholarships website.

Economics Department Funding

James Lanner Memorial Scholarship

One scholarship of £5,000 is available for offer holders for the MSc or MRes in Economics. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, with preference given to candidates who intend to specialise in international economics or in issues of economic policy in Europe.

All applicants to the department's MSc Programme are automatically considered for departmental funding; there is no separate application procedure. All MSc offer-holders are advised to apply for UCL funding.
