Gathering Light Exhibition

Dr Francesco D’Aiuto, Clinical Senior Lecturer / Honorary Consultant in Periodontology, was one of five researchers involved in a project with award winning photographer Clare Park to shine a light on the world of clinical research.
The Gathering Light project focuses on translational research – an area central to the Institute’s research strategy – where researchers work to transform scientific discoveries into new treatments that have a direct effect on patient care. The provocative exhibition ran in the Street Gallery of University College Hospital, the photographs exploring the relationship between patient and doctor and their response to the exciting but challenging journey in clinical research.
