IntroductionThe unit of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery undertakes the diagnosis and surgical treatment of – and research into –conditions of the mouth, salivary glands, jaws and face. We are a leading research centre and pre-eminent in the management of facial pain, oral cancer, facial deformity (including calvarial defects) and craniofacial reconstruction. The unit is committed to collaborative research with Great Ormond Street Hospital, Royal London Hospital, and other divisions within UCL and UCLH. |
World Class EducationThe unit is based on two sites: the main UCL Eastman Dental Institute site alongside
Eastman Dental Hospital (research laboratory headed by Professor Brian
Henderson) and the UCLH Head and Neck Department at 250 Euston Road (clinical
lead Mr Nick Kalavrezos.) |
