IntroductionThe unit of Orthodontics is part of the department of Craniofacial Growth & Development and carries out specialist orthodontic treatment for both children and adults. We have a special expertise in caring for patients with severe malocclusions, especially those requiring complex multidisciplinary care and for which we have a world-wide reputation, including dental-facial and craniofacial deformity, hypodontia, and combined orthodontic / prosthodontics and paediatric care. There are strong links with Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College Hospital. |
World Class EducationThe unit is one of the largest postgraduate training centres in Europe and provides high quality teaching and training in both the clinical and research skills demanded of contemporary orthodontic specialists. Students are exposed to a wide range of treatment modalities and appliance systems. |
