Aims and objectives

The course allows participants a full day of practicing their skills in order to build their confidence in preparation for the ORE Part 2 Dental Manikin examination.  There is no lecture component, but participants are under constant supervision of skilled staff who are on hand to answer questions, offer advice, and give individual demonstrations.  The staff-to-participant ratio of 1:5 allows the course to be tailored to individual needs.

Anticipated outcomes

After attending this course, participants should be able to assess in which areas they need to improve and reinforce their practice at home before sitting the examination.

Quality controls

All teachers on the Institute's courses are experienced professionals. All participants are asked to submit written feedback via a questionnaire at the end of the course, which is used to monitor the course's quality of teaching and value for money.

Teaching and assessment

This is a skills revision course with no lecture component. Participants are under constant supervision with staff available to give advice and demonstration.

Please note that one molar and one central incisor Frasaco endodontic teeth are provided per participant.

The full day is spent practicing any elements of the Dental Manikin exam (as covered in the three day ORE Part 2: Dental Manikin revision course) upon which participants wish to spend time.
