Implant Dentistry: Guided Bone Regeneration

A one day course on CAD/CAM generated bone grafting, featuring hands-on training, led by Dr Önder Solakoglu.

What will I learn?

Participants will explore indications, materials and step by step clinical procedures on conventional guided bone regeneration procedures and the pioneering technique of CAD/CAM generated bone augmentation.

The course is presented by an internationally leading expert specialist, with customised patient case models for the hands-on session commissioned especially for UCL Eastman Dental Institute.

Structure: One day.

Verifiable CPD: 5 hours.

Core content

Lecture session:

  • Overview of conventional techniques for guided bone regeneration.
  • Update on new materials and technology.

Hands-on session:

  • Training on individual customised models, using a standard allogenic block graft as well as a customised CAD/CAM designed allogenic block graft.

Teaching and learning

The course is delivered through two sessions comprised of a two-hour lecture followed by three hours of hands-on practical exercises in the skills laboratory.

Entry requirements

All applicants must normally hold an approved dental qualification.

Who can apply?

The course is aimed at dentists with an interest in implant and surgical dentistry, periodontology specialists and oral surgery specialists.
