Aesthetic Dentistry: Tooth Whitening
A one day course on tooth whitening, providing training on causes of tooth discolouration, whitening methods and management of sensitivity.
What will I learn?
Course participants will review the causes of discoloration and learn about available tooth whitening methods and products. It will explain and demonstrate what makes different methods and products applicable to particular individual cases, and how to deliver whitening treatment to patients.

Instruction takes place in state of the art facilities, including a fully equipped phantom head skills lab. Teaching is provided by leading specialists, and is grounded in evidence-based dentistry with a teaching approach based upon clinical cases.
Structure: One full day.
Verifiable CPD: 6.5 hours.
Morning session – lecture:
- Pathogenesis of tooth discolouration.
- Tooth whitening for vital and endo-treated teeth.
- Management of sensitivity from whitening.
Afternoon session – hands-on training:
- Whitening tray fabrication.
- Case discussion.
Teaching and learning
The course is delivered through a combination of 50% lectures, interactive seminars, treatment planning, and 50% skills laboratory and clinic hands-on training.
Applicants must hold an approved dental therapy or hygiene qualification.
