Aesthetic Dentistry: Tooth Whitening
A one day course on tooth whitening, providing training on causes of tooth discolouration, whitening methods and management of sensitivity.
What will I learn?
Causes of Tooth Discolouration. Available tooth whitening methods and materials and their mechanism of action. Management protocols and materials for sensitivity control. Step by step procedure of internal whitening and its recommended materials.

Structure: One full day.
Verifiable CPD: 6.5 hours.
Morning session – lecture:
- Pathogenesis of tooth discolouration.
- Tooth whitening for vital and endo-treated teeth.
- Management of sensitivity from whitening.
Afternoon session – hands-on training:
- Whitening Tray fabrication, internal whitening exercise.
Teaching and learning
The course is delivered through a combination of 50% lectures, interactive seminars, treatment planning, and 50% skills laboratory and clinic hands-on training.
Applicants must hold an approved dental qualification.
