Aesthetic Dentistry: Polychromatic Veneers & Class IV Restorations

A one day course on composite restorations for anterior teeth. The hands-on course is lead by Dr Didier Dietschi and provides step-by-step guidance on procedures, most effective armamentarium and ideal material required for anterior polychromatic veneers and Class IV restorations.

What will I learn?

The course will teach the step-by-step clinical sequence for a Class IV composite restoration using a mock-up technique, and the step-by-step clinical sequence for restoring anterior teeth with direct polychromatic veneers using 3D build-up techniques.

Why should I study this course at the Institute?

The course is focused on a hands-on training in composite resin restorations using state-of-the-art facilities including a fully-equipped phantom head skills lab with individual monitor screens.  Small class sizes provide a favourable teacher-to-student ratio.  Teaching is provided by the internationally renowned clinician Dr Didier Dietschi.

Structure: One full day.

Verifiable CPD: 6.5 hours.

Core content

Morning session:

  • Short lecture followed by demonstration and hands-on practical on Class IV restorations.

Afternoon session:

  • Short lecture followed by demonstration and hands-on practical on 3D polychromatic anterior veneers using natural layering technique.

Teaching and learning

The course is delivered through two sessions comprised of a 45 minute lecture followed by two to three hours of hands-on practical exercises in the skills laboratory.

Entry requirements

All applicants must normally hold an approved dental qualification.
