Aesthetic Dentistry: Metal-Ceramic Crowns & Bridges

A one day course on metal-ceramic crowns and bridges that provides training on case selection, tooth preparations and armamentarium,  materials and prostheses designs.

Case indications and step-by-step preparations and armamentarium for aesthetic metal-ceramic crowns and bridges.

All of the Institute's aesthetic dentistry CPD courses provide ample hands-on training in state of the art facilities including clinics and a fully equipped phantom head skills lab.  Small class sizes provide a favourable teacher-to-student ratio.  Teaching is provided by aesthetic dentistry specialists, and is grounded in evidence-based dentistry with a teaching approach based upon clinical cases.

Morning session – lecture:

  • Aesthetic Ceramic Margins.
  • Maryland bridges.
  • Requirements for precise lab prescriptions.
  • Ovoid pontics development.
  • Bridge prostheses designs.

Afternoon session – hands-on training:

  • Step by step preparations for aesthetic metal ceramic crowns and bridges

Teaching and learning

The course is delivered through a combination of 50% lectures, interactive seminars, treatment planning, and 50% skills laboratory  hands-on training.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold an approved dental qualification.
