Prosthodontics BSRD prize-winning success

UCL Eastman Dental Institute's Dr Jose Rodriguez and recent graduate Dr Mohammad Boga each were awarded prizes at the British Society for Restorative Dentistry (BSRD) spring scientific meeting.

The prizes are awarded annually for the best posters in the clinical and research categories.

Dr Rodriguez is a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Prosthodontics, and was awarded the clinical prize for a case entitled A challenging trauma case showing the multi-disciplinary management of missing dentition via dental implants.

Dr Boga is a recent graduate of the unit's Conservative Dentistry MSc programme and has worked as a visiting lecturer on the Institute's CPD short courses, particularly the ORE revision courses.

The subject Dr Boga presented was entitled The effect of surface finishing protocols on the colour stability of G-aenial anterior composite resin.  The research was undertaken in partial submission for his MSc and was supervised by Dr Nicholas Frankel and Mr Michael Nesbit.
