Professor of Orthodontics elected Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England

Following the Faculty Board meeting on 1st November, Professor Nigel Hunt of UCL Eastman Dental Institute was elected to be the next Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS), succeeding Ms Kathy Harley.

Professor Hunt, who is currently serving on the Council of the RCS, the Board of the Faculty and also Chairman of the Examinations Committee, will take up office with effect from June 2014.  He will be the 24th Dean and the third from the Institute, the others being Professor Sir Robert Bradlaw CBE (1947 – 1950) and Professor Frank Wilkinson CBE (1953-1956).


Professor Nigel Hunt is the Head of Craniofacial Growth & Development and Head of Orthodontics at UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
