Discussing trigeminal neuralgia on BBC Radio 4

Professor Joanna Zakrzewska, a renowned international expert in the management of facial pain, appeared on the BBC Radio 4 Inside Health programme on 5 November 2013 to talk about the implications and treatment of trigeminal neuralgia.

As discussed by on the programme, trigeminal neuralgia is an uncommon painful disorder that greatly compromises the quality of life of affected individuals. Reassuringly a wide array of effective therapies are now available and – thanks to the work of Professor Zakrzewska – there is now good evidence about which agents or surgical procedures are likely to be of greatest  benefit.
