Statistics for Veterinary and Animal Science

As Head of Biostatistics at UCL Eastman Dental Institute, Aviva Petrie provides training in statistical theory to all Institute Master’s students and guidance and co-supervision for research projects.

Together with Paul Watson of The Royal Veterinary College, she has recently published the third edition of Statistics for Veterinary and Animal Science.  Although aimed at students, researchers and practitioners in the field of veterinary and animal science, the textbook also acts as an introduction to statistics in dentistry and medicine, with an emphasis on understanding the methodology of statistical procedures and the interpretation of results.

This follows the publishing of  Medical Statistics at a Glance Workbook earlier in the year.  Authored by Aviva Petrie and Caroline Sabin, the workbook supports the third edition of their Medical Statistics at a Glance textbook, which provides an introduction to statistics for students and researchers in biomedicine and pharmacy.
