Job opportunities for two Senior Lecturers in Research

26 June 2013

Two UCL Eastman Dental Institute Research departments – Microbial Diseases and Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering – are each looking to recruit an additional full-time Senior Lecturer.

The Institute aims to improve diagnosis and treatment of oral disease through basic and translational research, and intends to expand its research activities through the appointment of these two positions.  A culture of close interaction between the Research and Education arms of the Institute provides a fertile environment to translate new research ideas into clinical application.

UCL Eastman Dental Institute provides an environment rich in interdisciplinary collaboration, with excellent resources in both its facilities and its people.

The successful candidate for each position will have a PhD or equivalent and postdoctoral research experience in a related area, with a record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications. They shall have evidence of independent research and the ability to obtain peer-reviewed funding in their research area.

Each will be expected to develop, lead and sustain an internationally competitive independent research programme that reinforces or compliments the current research activity in their respective department, and to supervise Master's and Doctoral research students.
