Research Summary

I am currently involved in an industry funded randomised control trial examining the efficacy of a novel device for tinnitus that delivers a neurostimulation sequence.  The research is being carried out at the Ear Institute, UCL and also at the National Institute for Health Research Nottingham Hearing Biomedical Research Unit.  I am responsible for co-ordinating the UCL arm of the research.

The next piece of research that I will lead on will be looking at acoustic stimulation for the management of hyperacusis in children on the autistic spectrum.  Again this is industry funded and is likely to start at the beginning of 2014 when I get back from maternity leave.

I am a clinical audiologist by training currently working in teaching and research here at the Ear Institute, UCL.  In addition I run a small private clinic in Hertfordshire seeing both children and adults for the assessment and management of auditory problems.
