UCL houses the largest Centre for Dutch Studies in the English-speaking world. Founded in 1919, the department was the first of its kind in the UK. Today it offers a full range of undergraduate and graduate programmes and is an acknowledged centre of excellence in both teaching and research in the field of Dutch and Flemish language and culture. The department is part of the School of European Languages, Culture & Society.
