Natalie is a Specialist Registrar in Neurology with a clinical and research interest in Cognitive Neurology, particularly young onset and inherited dementias.
Her research focuses on the use of MRI to investigate early markers of pathological change in familial and sporadic Alzheimer’s disease. She has a particular interest in the effect of the disease process on white matter tracts connecting different brain regions and how this can be explored using diffusion tensor imaging.
Another aspect of her work aims to investigate the genetic and pathological factors underpinning phenotypic heterogeneity in both familial Alzheimer’s disease and atypical presentations of sporadic Alzheimer’s disease such as posterior cortical atrophy.
