Applying

UCL welcomes applications from disabled students. The same entry criteria are applied to all applicants regardless of disability. Your application to study at UCL is considered solely on the basis of academic merit. Any discussions about your disability support requirements will be kept separate from the admissions procedure.

Declaration

On your application form you will be given the opportunity to declare a disability. You do not have to declare your disability at this point but we strongly recommend that you take this opportunity to make the university aware of your disability and support needs. This will ensure that you receive information and advice from us promptly.

Some of our current students have produced a video which explains the benefits of declaring your disability.

For further information please see the disclosure page.

Accessibility

UCL aims to ensure that all courses are designed to offer the best possible opportunities for full participation by disabled students. However, many of the older buildings at UCL are not fully accessible to those with a mobility difficulty. If you are a wheelchair user or have difficulty with stairs, you are strongly advised to contact us before you apply to arrange a visit.

For more information see the physical access guides page.

Visits

You are welcome to contact us before you enrol – or even before you accept an offer from UCL. We are here all year round, not just during term time.

A visit can be arranged to help you assess the suitability of our facilities and to discuss your individual support requirements. Visits to departments, libraries and student accommodation can also be arranged.
