Undergraduate Teaching

Although the Department of Information Studies (DIS) is primarily a postgraduate school, we do offer a selection of modules on information and computing related topics at undergraduate level. The undergraduate modules presently offered by DIS are:

• Programming 1
• Programming 2
• Information Systems
• Web Technologies, Users and Management
• Database Systems
• Semantic Web

In particular, these modules are core components of the BSc Information Management for Business (IMB), taught jointly by the Department of Management Science and Innovation (MSI), DIS and the Department of Computer Science. MSI is the home department for this degree, which is sponsored by the government agency e-skills UK, and as such enjoys the benefits of full collaboration with top industrial sponsors.
