Lori Houlihan was appointed as Vice-Provost (Development) at University College London in August 2016.  Lori joined UCL in February 2011 to take up the post of Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations.  She is leading the philanthropic Campaign for UCL and expanding the Alumni and Supporter relations activity.  UCL has one of the largest fundraising Campaigns in Europe.  Primarily the Office of the Vice-Provost (Development), OVPD, builds relationships with individuals, trusts, foundations and companies who can support our institutional priorities.  Lori also provides support to the President and Provost in the delivery of the UCL 2034 strategy.

Previously Lori was Director of Development and External Affairs at the University of Aberdeen where she worked for 12 years and led its highly successful fundraising campaign which raised over £200m.  She is an experienced advancement professional with over 17 years’ experience in Higher Education marketing and fundraising. She joined Aberdeen in 1999 as Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions and in 2001 became the University’s first ever Director of Marketing. Previously she worked in the Health Service where she had a senior role in health promotion. She is Trustee at Large of CASE and a Burgess of the City of Aberdeen.
