Description
Interactive circus designed for 1–3 year old children makes math fun! Development of basic mathematics skills is critical at this early stage. For toddlers this includes “number sense” and an introduction to what numbers 1, 2, and 3 really mean. Usage of the iPad’s tilting, blowing and swiping engage the brain’s neural development.
Animated hamsters guide the child and teach while entertaining. Sound effects and voice-overs provide encouragement and enable children to play and learn without the need for extra help. Designed to use the brain’s natural development process, Number Circus is the best Pre-K introduction to NCTM’s Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
Number Circus includes the following concepts:
● recognition of numerals by voice and script
● introduction to quantity
● introduction to cardinality
● recognition of objects in a group
● interactive one to one correspondence
● demonstration of matching sets
Number Circus was developed by a Mom along with a team of experienced professionals in mathematics education, instructional design, user interface and experience. The app brings together game-based learning, the latest research on how a child’s brain develops and foundational mathematics skills as identified by U.S. National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).
This app was tested by children ages 1 to 8, teachers, and parents. Because Number Chums, the developer, is committed to children’s safety and security, this app DOES NOT collect any data, connect to social media, nor track the location of the user.
