The Deafness, Cognition and Language (DCAL) Research
Centre based in University College London (UCL) are pleased to be
hosting this conference in the exciting city of London from 10th to
13th July 2013. UCL is in the heart of Central London, within easy
reach of numerous attractions and transport links including Euston and
Kings Cross St Pancras stations.
For more information on the location and venue please see ‘Venue Details’.TISLR 11 invites unpublished papers addressing any aspect of research that is both theoretical and addresses sign languages.

We are pleased to have Peter Hauser from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) and Lars Wallin from the University of Stockholm as the conference keynote speakers.
The
languages of the conference will be English (spoken and via
speech-to-text reporting), British Sign Language (BSL) and American
Sign Language (ASL). Authors wishing to have interpretation to and from
other sign languages will need to bring their own interpreters. Please
contact the TISLR Interpreting Team Leader Liz Graham for more information.
The interpreter coordinator will be more than happy to assist you to ensure good communication throughout the conference.
Please take note of TISLR’s ‘direct communication’ policy that encourages authors to present in sign language
(see ‘interpreters’ for more information).
Bursaries:
A limited number of bursaries have been awarded to
