Interruption of Study
Interruption of Study is for students who require taking a temporary break from their studies and plan to resume their studies at a future date.
If
you are a Visa National and hold a Tier 4 (general student) visa you
will be
required to leave the UK
for the duration of your interruption and re-apply for a new visa in
order to
return to UCL and continue your studies. You must also inform Student
Records of the date on which you plan to leave the UK as we are
required to report this to the UKBA. You must comply with this visa
requirement to safeguard your immigration status and future entry to the
UK. Under the Points
Based Immigration System (PBIS) UCL is legally required to notify the UK
Border
Agency of any changes to a student's status.
