Late Submission Fees for Research Students
If you do not submit your thesis by the end of your period of CRS status, your registration as a student will end at that point. You will need to apply for permission to submit; your supervisor will need to support this request, in writing or by email, to the Research Degrees section giving the reasons for your late submission and the date by which you will be ready to do so. If approved, you will be liable for the late submission fee as given in the table below.
| Late Submission Fees for Research Students |
Fees for Session 2012
| Up to 3 months | From 4-6 months | From 7-9 months | From 10-12 months + |
| £525 | £1,050 | £1,575 | £2,100 |
Fees for Session 2013
| Up to 3 months | From 4-6 months | From 7-9 months | From 10-12 months + |
| £550 | £1,100 | £1,650 | £2,200 |
You will be sent an invoice for the late submission fee once your thesis has been submitted. In all cases the result of your examination will be withheld until the payment has been made.
