Hugh Prince Prize

Founded in 1992 by the Department of Geography, on the occasion of Hugh Prince's retirement, to commemorate his dedication to research and teaching in human geography

  1. A prize known as the Hugh Prince Prize may be awarded in each session.

  2. The Prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Social & Historical Sciences.

  3. The Prize is awarded to the final year undergraduate student who has performed the best in Human Geography, counting the results over both second and third years.

  4. The value of the Prize is £75.

  5. No application is necessary.

  6. The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Head of the Department of Geography.

  7. The award is announced in July.

  8. The College reserves the right to vary these regulations should it become necessary to do so in order to ensure the continued use of the resources in the fund.

  9. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
