Hugh Prince Prize
Founded in 1992 by the Department of Geography, on the occasion of Hugh Prince's retirement, to commemorate his dedication to research and teaching in human geography
- A prize known as the Hugh Prince Prize may be
awarded in each
session.
- The Prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of
the Faculty of
Social & Historical Sciences.
- The Prize is awarded to the final year
undergraduate student who has
performed the best in Human Geography, counting the results
over both second and
third years.
- The value of the Prize is £75.
- No application is necessary.
- The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Head of
the
Department of Geography.
- The award is announced in July.
- The College reserves the right to vary these regulations
should it become
necessary to do so in order to ensure the continued
use of the resources in the
fund.
- Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
