The Carter Prize and Windham Baring Prize in Infection and Defence
The Carter Prize was founded in 1990 by Professor J Foreman in memory of his late mother and stepfather The Windham Baring Prize was founded under a bequest to the Middlesex Hospital Medical School
- Two awards may be awarded in each session.
- The Prizes are awarded by the Council on the
recommendation of the Faculty
of Biomedical Sciences Board of Examiners.
- The Carter Prize is awarded to the student who shows the
greatest
proficiency in the Infection and Defence Module in Year 1 of the MBBS
course.
The Windham Baring Prize is awarded to the student who shows the second
greatest
proficiency in the Infection and Defence Module in Year 1 of the MBBS
course.
- The value of the Carter Prize is £75 and the value of the Windham
Baring
Prize is £50. Each award will be accompanied by a certificate.
- No application is necessary.
- The awards are announced in June.
- Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
