The Carter Prize and Windham Baring Prize in Infection and Defence

The Carter Prize was founded in 1990 by Professor J Foreman in memory of his late mother and stepfather The Windham Baring Prize was founded under a bequest to the Middlesex Hospital Medical School

1. Two awards may be awarded in each session.
   
   
2. The Prizes are awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences Board of Examiners.
   
   
3. The Carter Prize is awarded to the student who shows the greatest proficiency in the Infection and Defence Module in Year 1 of the MBBS course. The Windham Baring Prize is awarded to the student who shows the second greatest proficiency in the Infection and Defence Module in Year 1 of the MBBS course.
   
   
4. The value of the Carter Prize is £75 and the value of the Windham Baring Prize is £50. Each award will be accompanied by a certificate.
   
   
5. No application is necessary.
   
   
6. The awards are announced in June.
   
   
7. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
